[you want to know what kind of day Neku is having? it's a winner for sure. everything's back to normal, at least, even though now he's all the way back in Violet UNLESS I'M WRONG, P4 FOLK? (unsure) and he hates Violet so much.

and now? Chie went to get her Pokémon healed hours ago. and she didn't come back. so Neku did some investigating a la asking the Joys where on earth his best bro ever has gone off to, and the Joys are less than helpful. because, well, Chie is gone.

it takes him a decently long time to bring himself to pull out the 'gear and click on the audio. he sounds, justifiably, less than happy. just saying it takes a lot of effort, because Neku is a lot more attached to everyone he's met here than he gives himself credit for.]

....

Chie's gone.

[there is about a minute and a half of silence, then some shuffling as he presumably reaches over and vaguely shifts around her backpack. there is a Pokéball in here he intends to keep b-but not because he likes it or anything.]

Her stuff's here still. So. Yeah.

[another pause, but shorter this time.] ... I'll be around, I guess. Whenever it's time to get out of this town.

[aaaand click.]

ooc; tags will be slow when I run away to class in a wee bit

[today, fine citizens of Johto, we find our hero loitering around the edge of Violet, under a tree on Route 32. he's just sitting there, looking at the 'gear to make sure it turned on, then away for a second (presumably to check on his team, but they're behaving for once), then back to the screen.]

So what does everyone do when they're not training? It's been, what, more than three months since some of us got here, and there's still nothing to do.

[pause. a slight frown, but he recovers!]

Nothing to do that isn't centered on Pokémon, anyway, and if no one's found a way to go home that isn't disappearing randomly... Well, nothing really happens. I guess this is more literal than I hoped getting stuck in a video game would would be.

If there's someone up there with a handheld, they're pretty bad at this.

[another pause, and then he clears his throat and looks away because really, Neku, what the hell are you saying. awkwardly:]

So, uh, yeah. What do you do when you're tired of training?

[the video comes on to show Neku standing around idly towards the edge of Violet. he isn't reckless enough to go out towards those crystals by himself, but he certainly will stand there and look at them. and because he's the worst bug catcher alive, there's even a concerned-looking Ekans next to him, only just in the bottom of the frame because it's. coiling around him a little. Neku is Pokébait.

he is also talking to it, because that coiling thing started when he turned the video on.]

Jeez, you're called Ekans? That's not even clever -- Quit doing that, I can't move.

[and then he speaks to the camera, what up Johto.]

So. Weird crap coming towards Violet, huh? Anyone past here seeing it too, or is it a one-way thing?

[pause. looking at this bizarre crystal shit.]

Uh. Is anyone - doing anything about this? I mean, I guess I'll help or...whatever.

[he moves to turn the video off buuuut comes back as he remembers something.]

Right -- Beat, Rhyme, you guys making it okay?

[so that pond by Sprout Tower. Neku is at it, because 2/3 of his Pokémon are water types and they like to swim about. anyone nearby may witness him just chilling (except not because it's hot out) on the edge of said pond, while his endearingly derpy Quagsire, Fish, swims around and occasionally bumps into Fish 2 -- which is easier to do now, because 2 ~*just recently evolved*~ into a lovely, disgruntled Gyarados.

he's a very impatient giant sea monster, actually. so after the tenth time being smacked into by Fish's forehead, he turns and swims towards the edge of the pond opposite Neku, who perks up only when he realizes what's going on.]

Hey! Where are you -- come back here!

[the Gyarados actually obeys, if only to swim over to where Neku is, tower over him for a moment, and then lift his tail to knock his master into the water. while Neku is busy sputtering, the Gyarados irritably just. leaves the scene.]
