14 ♫ video/action for cherrygrove

[Neku is chilling in Cherrygrove. When the video comes on (hey Rise, he's totally wearing your gift and also an extra purple hoodie with real sleeves, but anyway), he looks half baffled and half severely weirded out. Why?

Well. Tis the season for egg hatching.]

Hey -- Has anyone ever seen one of these before?

[He steps back a bit from the camera to (gingerly) hold up the single ugliest thing he has ever seen--

--yeah. It flops vaguely. Neku frowns.]

I almost thought it was dead until it moved. Not like you can blame me, look at this thing...

[Guess who's going to have a hell of a time getting his new best friend to evolve. He eyes the fish for another moment before looking back at the camera.]

So yeah. Looks like everyone's got a new egg, huh? Don't tell me I'm the only one lucky enough to get one of these.

7 ♫ the post where neku is a loser [action/text]

imprinting: (just gonna stand there and watch me burn)
[so that pond by Sprout Tower. Neku is at it, because 2/3 of his Pokémon are water types and they like to swim about. anyone nearby may witness him just chilling (except not because it's hot out) on the edge of said pond, while his endearingly derpy Quagsire, Fish, swims around and occasionally bumps into Fish 2 -- which is easier to do now, because 2 ~*just recently evolved*~ into a lovely, disgruntled Gyarados.

he's a very impatient giant sea monster, actually. so after the tenth time being smacked into by Fish's forehead, he turns and swims towards the edge of the pond opposite Neku, who perks up only when he realizes what's going on.]

Hey! Where are you -- come back here!

[the Gyarados actually obeys, if only to swim over to where Neku is, tower over him for a moment, and then lift his tail to knock his master into the water. while Neku is busy sputtering, the Gyarados irritably just. leaves the scene.]
